Cost Includes :

  • Accommodation & Meals (Breakfast. Lunch, Dinner, and morning and evening Tea at resort).
  • 6 Jeep safaris in Kaziranga.
  • Park entry fee for Indian Nationals. NRI/Foreigners pay extra.
  • One workshop with internationally acclaimed wildlife photographer Rathika Ramasamy. 
  • One workshop /chat session with Anu Hasan. 

 

Cost Excludes :

  • Air fare    
  • Transport from Guwahati Airport to Kaziranga and return from Kaziranga to Guwahati Airport. 
  • Any meal or extras not mentioned.
  • Any kind of personal expenses like mineral water, soft drinks, phone calls. laundry etc 
  • Camera Entry fee INR 500.
  • Any additional activities.
  • Any extra expenses due to change in itinerary due to delay/cancellation of flight, natural calamity, political  unrest, medical condition or any other unforeseen circumstance.

 

  • Other details:
  • Accommodation will be on twin sharing.
  • Hotel will be Royale De Casa Resort, Kaziranga (In Kohora)
  • Participants to ensure that they arrive at Guwahati before 10 am on 24th November 2024.  The transfer to Kaziranga (5 hours from Guwahati) will depart at 11 am.
  • Return flight to be booked late afternoon or evening of 28th November 2024
  • Car pool will be arranged at Guwahati for participants on shared cost basis (Details of cost will be shared closer to the trip date ).
  • If your flight is delayed or arrives late, we can try and help you organise an alternative transfer but please be aware that the cost of this will have to be completely borne by you and not be shared by other participants.
  • A WhatsApp group will be created for all participants once registration is closed, our trip coordinator will be available to answer question or help with logistics.

Why Picture this?

We have felt that the joy in travelling, experiencing and taking pictures - (with mobile phone or camera) is something that is so enriching.  And yet, as women, most hesitate to travel alone or travel afar. This trip is to encourage the curiosity and exploratory nature in all of you. This is a trip to Kaziranga National Park in November for 4 days 5 nights, with 6 jeep safaris and two workshops - one from Rathika Ramasamy and one from  Ms Anu Hasan.  It is going to be a group of happy, like minded women who are willing to explore, learn and experience.  We are limiting the number of participants so we can spend quality time and make it a happy fun trip.


Why Kaziranga ?

Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve is located in the heart of Assam, on the southern Bank of the mighty Brahmaputra River. It is an UNESCO World Heritage Site. This park is one of the last areas for wildlife in eastern India undisturbed by a human presence. Central zone in the Park is famous for Tiger sightings. It is inhabited by the world's largest population of One-horned rhinoceroses. Kaziranga is home to 88 mammalian species; Wild water buffalo, Indian elephant , Gaur, Common Otter, Barasingha are some of the important species and easy to photograph. Apart from these there are rare and endemic mammals that can be seen and photographed in this park. One-horned Rhinoceros is also called the pride of Assam and is endemic to the Indian sub-subcontinent; it is an endangered animal. It is UNESCO World Heritage Site. 

  • You may get to see and photograph Big 5 of Kaziranga - endemic One-horned Rhinoceros, Asiatic Water Buffalo, Indian Elephant, Bengal Tiger and Barasingha.
  • It is also a birding paradise with more than 500 species.
  • Kaziranga Tiger reserve is one of the most beautiful national parks, and it is well maintained.
  • With only 4 participants in one vehicle, you will be comfortable watching and photographing from the vehicle.

Aspiring Travel blogger/Youtube creator/Content creator, Nature photography enthusiast, Birdwatcher, Bird/wildlife photographer. If you are a nature photographer and wildlife lover who would like to explore the Kaziranga, then this trip  is for you. If you are already doing wildlife photography, then this is the  chance to shoot along with Rathika and make beautiful images from Kaziranga.  With Anu Hasan, you will learn the creative process of content creating, and how to edit and present etc. and lot more tips, end of the session you will be able to create your own V log, videos and Photographs.
 

Prerequisite: Interest to learn and interest to  enjoy the outdoor, nature and wildlife.

 

About Anu Hasan :

A Kalaimamani award recipient, Anu Hasan donned many hats including that of an entrepreneur, actor, TV anchor, speaker, writer and content creator. Her path-breaking show, Koffee with Anu, is probably what people in South India might remember her most for. Her journey in the past 25 years has straddled in the world of film and TV as well as the world of business and startups. The fact that her experience has spanned both India and UK in these two fields, places her in the unique position of being able to translate skills and learnings seamlessly between diverse worlds and cultures. Her social media content is known for its honesty and authenticity. She believes in being a grounded and positive voice in the glamour that is social media.
 

 

 

 

 

About Rathika Ramasamy :

Rathika is arguably one of India's foremost wildlife photographers. Passionate about birds, she specializes in bird photography, documenting wildlife with a style that combines technical excellence and captivating storytelling. She has traveled extensively to most of the national parks in India and several in Africa to document indigenous species and wildlife. Her work has been appreciated and featured in numerous national and international publications and exhibitions. She is a founding member of the RR Foundation for Wildlife Conservation (RRFWC).

Rathika regularly conducts wildlife photography workshops and gives talks across India. She has served on the jury panel for many national and international photography awards and contests, including the National Awards for Photography instituted by the Government of India in 2017 and 2018. In these years, she was recognized as the best-known woman photographer on the internet worldwide. Furthermore, Rathika has been mentioned in the 10th Standard Science textbook of the 2019 edition of the Tamil Nadu Government state syllabus.

For Rathika, wildlife photography is not just a passion but a powerful medium to connect with and conserve nature. She loves to shoot in Indian forests, believing that India has some of the world's best fauna and flora.


 

 

Terms and Conditions

 

 

  1. Registration is confirmed only upon receipt of entire amount.
     
  2. Cancellation fees:
    INR 10,000 if cancelled within 10 days of booking
    50% if cancelled after 10 days but on or before Sep 30th 2024
    100% if cancelled after Sep 30th 2024

     
  3. The workshop charges are for Indian National Only. Foreign nationals and NRIs have to pay extra for entry tickets.

 

  1. Picture this is responsible only for the content of the workshops. We do not own or operate or control any transport company, hotel etc.  While we endeavour to make all travel arrangements with utmost care, we cannot be held responsible for any loss, damage, injury, or death which may be caused by the act or default of the management or employees of any hoteliers, airlines, transport company.

 

  1. Littering and taking anything from nature trails is strictly prohibited. All national parks have certain rules that everyone must follow. Breaking the rules is a serious offence, which might result in the government taking legal action.

 

  1. All videos and photographs may be used for promotion purposes by Rathika and Anu on their social media accounts and websites. If you do not agree, please inform us via email or whatsapp message before departure.

 

  1. Do not take pictures and videos of locals and other participants without their permission. Don’t share them without the concerned person’s permission.

 

  1. Flash photography inside the national park is not allowed.

 

  1. While we will do our best to get maximum sightings possible, we cannot guarantee any wildlife sightings. Please bear in mind that this is wildlife and hence we will be able to see what we will be able to see. Participants should come with an open mind.

 

  1. We will not be held responsible for occurrence of any of the following circumstances during or before the commencement of the trip, and any extra costs occurring due to these are to be borne by you:
    • Any rioting, violence in the area or impending threat of violence.
    • Any acts of God, like heat wave, heavy rain, floods, land slide, earthquakes, extreme bad weather, etc.
    • Any delay or cancellation of flights, ferry, trains, bus etc.
    • Medical problem, sickness, physical inability to manage with the itinerary or any other such matter. Such an inability shall not affect/ delay rest of the group on the Tour per se.
    • Lost luggage, loss of personal belongings and/ or theft etc.
