Why Picture this?
We have felt that the joy in travelling, experiencing and taking pictures - (with mobile phone or camera) is something that is so enriching. And yet as women most of them hesitate to travel alone or travel far. This trip is to encourage the curiosity and exploratory nature in all of you. This is a trip to Kaziranga national park in November , 4 days five nights, with 6 jeep safaris and two workshops - one from Rathika Ramasamy and one from Ms Anu Hasan .It is going to be a group of happy, like minded women who are willing to explore, learn and experience. We are limiting the number of participants so we can spend quality time and make it a happy fun trip.
Why Kaziranga ?
Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve is located in the heart of Assam, on the southern Bank of mighty Brahmaputra River. This park is one of the last areas for wildlife in eastern India undisturbed by a human presence. Central zone is famous for Tiger sightings. It is inhabited by the world's largest population of One-horned rhinoceroses. Kaziranga is home to 88 mammalian species; Wild water buffalo, Indian elephant , Gaur, Common Otter, Barasingha are some of the important species and easy to photograph, apart from these there are extremely rare and endemic mammals can be seen photographed in this park. One-horned Rhinoceros is also called the pride of Assam and is endemic to the Indian sub-subcontinent; it is an endangered animal. It is UNESCO World Heritage Site. It only park India it has flood plains because Bramaputra river the biodiversity of the park is awesome.

You are ready doing wildlife photography, then this is the chance to shoot along with Rathika and make beautiful images from Kaziranga. If you are are wildlife lover, then you will enjoy the Kaziranga wilderness. With Anu hasan, you will learn creative process of content creating steps and how to edit and present etc. and lot more tips, end of the session you will be able to create your own V log, videos and Photographs.
Prerequisite: Interest to learn and interest to enjoy the nature and wildlife.
About Anu Hasan :
A Kalalmamani award recipient, Anu Hasan donned many hats including that of an entrepreneur, actor, TV anchor, speaker, writer and content creator. Her path-breaking show, Koffee with Anu, is probably what people in South India might remember her most for. Her journey in the past 25 years has straddled in the world of film and TV as well as the world of business and startups. The fact that her experience has spanned both India and UK in these two fields, places her in the unique position of being able to translate skills and learnings seamlessly between diverse worlds and cultures. Her social media content is known for its honesty and authenticity. She believes in being a grounded and positive voice in the glamour that is social media.
About Rathika Ramasamy :
Rathika is arguably one of India's foremost wildlife photographers. She is passionate about birds and specializes in bird photography. In documenting wildlife through her photographs, she has developed a style of technical excellence combined with a captivating story. She has travelled to most of the National parks in India, and national parks in Africa to document indigenous species and wildlife. Her work has been appreciated and featured in several national and international publications as well as exhibitions. She is a founder member of RR Foundation of Wildlife Conservation (RRFWC).
She regularly conducts wildlife photography workshops and holds talks all over India. She has served on the jury panel of many national and international photography awards and contests, including the National Awards for photography instituted by the Government of India. Year 2017 and 2018. Rathika was cited to be the best-known woman photographer across the world on the internet. Rathika has been mentioned in the 10th Standard Science textbook this year 2019 edition of Tamil Nadu Government state syllabus. For her wildlife photography is not only for her a passion, but a powerful medium to connect and conserve nature. She loves to shoot Indian forest, as she believes India has one of the best Fauna & Flora.
