Workshop: Rathika Ramasamy Wildlife Photography Masterclass

 

Venue:  Kaziranga National Park, Assam, India 

 

Workshop Dates: February 25th to 29th, 2024 (4Nights/5Days)

Itinerary:  

4 nights /5 days, February 25th to February 29th, 2024 

Day 1: Sunday  25th February 2024: Arrive Guwahati, leave to Kaziranga, Check in Hotel 

            5.00pm- 8.00 pm: Orientation session 

Day 2: Monday  26th February 2024 

            Morning Safari  (7.45 am- 11.45 am), Evening Safari (13.30. pm -16.45 pm).

            6.00pm-8pm: Photography review session and discussion about next day shoot. 

            8.00 pm Dinner.

Day 3: Tuesday 27h February - Morning and Evening Safari 

           Morning Safari (7.45 am- 11.45 am), Evening Safari (13.30. pm -16.45 pm)

           6 pm-8 pm: Photography session and review session.


Day 4: Wednesday 28th  February -  Morning Safari and Evening Safari.

             Morning Safari (7.45 am- 11.45 am), Evening Safari (13.30. pm -16.45 pm)

            7 pm-8 pm: Review session.


Day 5: Thursday 29th February:  Post breakfast Check out, departure to Guwahati to catch flight/train.


Why Kaziranga for Masterclass Venue?

Kaziranga is one of my favourite place to photograph, am visiting since 2011 and know the photographic opportunities.

  • You get a chance to sight and photograph endemic One-horned Rhinoceros 
  • It is also birding paradise with more than 500 species.
  • Chance to photograph Elephants 
  • Kaziranga Tiger reserve is one of the beautiful national park, well maintained.
  • Central zone is best for Tiger sighting.  
  • With limited number of participants , 4 participants in one vehicle, you will be comfortable shooting from vehicle.


Skill Level:  Intermediate and advanced.

 

Who could attend:

If you are a nature photographer and wildlife lover who would like to explore the Kaziranga, then this masterclass is for you. You are ready doing wildlife photography, then this is the  chance to shoot along with Rathika and make beautiful images from Kaziranga. If you are are wildlife  lover, then you will enjoy the Kaziranga wilderness. 



Prerequisite: Basic knowledge of DSLR Photography, any camera with kit lens.

If you are new to wildlife photography, then let us know, before leaving to the masterclass we will have basic photography session. 

 

Mode of payment :

You can register paying 50% amount now (not refundable), balance to be paid 1 month before the workshop start date. You can pay GPay or send direct bank transfer. Once registration is confirmed, will send the mode of payment details. 

 

Transport: Flight booking, participants make sure you arrive, before 11 am. Book the early morning flight to Guwahati. Return flight, please book later afternoon/evening flight out of Guwahati.

Guwahati to Kaziranga -distance 195, 5 hrs Drive

Carpool will be arranged. 

 

About Kaziranga National Park :
Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve is located in the heart of Assam, on the southern Bank of mighty Brahmaputra River. This park is one of the last areas for wildlife in eastern India undisturbed by a human presence. Central zone is famous for Tiger sightings. It is inhabited by the world's largest population of One-horned rhinoceroses. Kaziranga is home to 88 mammalian species; Wild water buffalo, Indian elephant , Gaur, Common Otter, Barasingha are some of the important species and easy to photograph, apart from these there are extremely rare and endemic mammals can be seen photographed in this park. One-horned Rhinoceros is also called the pride of Assam and is endemic to the Indian sub-subcontinent; it is an endangered animal. It is also birding paradise, bird list more than 500 species. Other big mammals you could photograph here are Asian Elephant and Tigers. It is UNESCO World Heritage Site. It only park India it has flood plains because Bramaputra river the biodiversity of the park is awesome.
