About the masterclass :
Rathika has been conducting masterclasses every year at Bharatpur. The purpose of this workshop is to fine-tune your wildlife photography skills by learning from and shooting alongside Rathika, enhancing your knowledge of subjects and photography techniques. Rathika has visited Bharatpur several times over the last 20 years; she knows the park very well and will help you choose hotspots and track the birds. This workshop will be highly interactive, with field discussions, and all participants will receive instant feedback and have their images reviewed every evening.
The number of participants is kept limited so that Rathika and her team can spend more time with each participant, shooting alongside them and sharing her experience and knowledge. If you are already doing bird photography, this field learning experience will help you understand wildlife habitats, create inspiring and storytelling images, and capture emotions in your frames.
Who could attend :
This workshop is open to all amateur photographers, hobby photographers, and anyone who wants to learn bird and wildlife photography from Rathika Ramasamy. It is suitable for those with basic knowledge of photography.

About the Venue :
Keoladeo National Park or Keoladeo Ghana National Park, formerly known as the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, is located in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, India. This famous bird sanctuary hosts thousands of birds, especially during the winter season. Over 230 species of birds are known to be resident. The park experiences three major seasons: wet monsoons, cold winters, and hot summers.
Come November, thousands of migratory waterfowl arrive for wintering. During winter, you can see common visitors such as the Ruddy Shelduck, Shoveller, Pintail, Wigeon, and Common Teal, along with resident species like the Lesser Whistling Teal and Spot-billed Duck. Additionally, Painted Storks can be observed feeding their young ones.
Habitats :
One-third of the habitat in Keoladeo National Park consists of wetland systems with various types of microhabitats, including trees, mounds, dykes, and open water with or without submerged plants. The richness and diversity of plant life inside the park are remarkable. The park’s flora consists of 379 species of flowering plants, of which 96 are wetland species.
Birds :
National Park is popularly known as the "Bird Paradise." Over 370 bird species have been recorded in the park. Ornithologically, the park is significant due to its strategic location as a staging ground for migratory waterfowl arriving in the Indian subcontinent before dispersing to various regions. Additionally, waterfowl converge here before departing for breeding grounds in the western Palearctic region. The wetland also serves as a wintering area for massive congregations of waterfowl.

Feedback from last masterclass workshop participants:
Mr.Kaustav das, Kolkata :Ma'am,I am not good enough with words to write accolades, hence was wondering how to express my take on the RR Master Class 2017.Finally I have mustered the following:For me it was immense. My entire perspective of photography got changed within the first hour of the first class room session. Aftermath, shooting at the field and personal care from you, have helped me emerged as a photographer better than what I was before 29th Nov'17.Yesterday I was going through all the photographs, previously taken (and also appreciated by people) and I did not get one good photograph (trust me on this). Also, now I can feel that my Nikon D7100 is slowing turning into an extension of my body. I have come to know him better than what I have ever thought that I would
