Feedback from Head of the Department,Ms. Ramalakshmi Lakshmanan,School of Media technology and communication,Vel Tech Deemed University, Chennai.
With a cutting-edge curriculum and learner-centric pedagogy that we offer at Veltech (deemed to be University), we are always open to pushing the frontiers of learning. One such opportunity was when we could invite Ms. Rathika Ramasamy, one of the foremost wildlife photographers, to share her insights into wildlife photography. The students of the School of Media Technology and Communication at Vel tech had a fantastic interactive session with Ms. Rathika. The session encompassed the various aspects of wildlife photography including technical, creative, aesthetic and ethical concerns.
Her ice-breaking approach, vivid presentation and the motive of selfless knowledge sharing made a value-based learning session. Ms. Rathika's wildlife photography is inspiring Ms. Rathika leads by example as she took the road less travelled. We look forward to another intense session.

I would like to express my gratitude to you for being a role model and an inspiration. It's not easy to find a true teacher to look up to, so it’s been a wonderful experience to learn from you Mam. Learning from you changed my entire perspective towards photography. You helped me how i can change my mistakes into skill and most importantly I learned is, camera is not just a Equipment but it's our third eye thats connected to our mind to frame out beautiful Images.Your teaching technique is different from every one you balance your classroom session with field works, which helped alot. Those elements I learned in class room you just make it so easy to me to use my skill in the field with your due care and on field reviews.
Those 7 days of learning spent with you at Kaziranga National Park was excellent days of my life it took me steps ahead in Photography.I would like to show my profound gratitude for the experience that I've gained from you. You have been an exemplary Guru and Blessing of God to me.Million thanks are to less to say thanks for your guidance and support.
Thanking you Mam.

I couldn't thank enough for the workshop, it was an excellent learning experience and watching you taking all those snaps was a real treat.
One of the most important learning i got that day was the taking correct exposure and how to use the exposure compensation based on subjects. All this is written in enough details in the last issue (May'11) issue of Smart Photography magazine, but I just couldn't understood it. But when you explained it and show it practical it was great, This will help me great in my future expeditions. The most successful outcome for me at individual level was taking pelican's in-flight shots with correct exposure and in-focus sharp images. For the first time i could click them (in-flight, in-focus, sharp with correct exposure). All credit goes to you.
Last but not least is thanks a lot for providing feedback on my shots taken during workshop. Again thanking you, I look forward to many many happy clicking. Thanks & Regards

I found the workshop very instructive as it really opened up the possibilities of my DSLR. What a difference a hands on workshop makes! So much better than reading dry manuals. The balance of theory at the start followed by immediate implementation of all that one's learnt made for an excellent format. And the fact that you are learning from someone who is one of the best in the business is the icing on the cake!"
